Chapter 9
It was Wednesday so I knew she’d be off from work. She did makeup better than any Hollywood artist could have dreamed of so she was my go to girl. I knocked and she opened wearing just her camisole top and boy shorts.
“Girl how you gonna answer the door looking like that?” I laughed as she plopped back down on her sofa.
“I knew it was you. Where have you been mami? I ought to kick your ass!” She tossed a pillow from her sofa at me.
“Well, long story short I fell for a married guy, his wife got pregnant, we moved in together, he moved out, and now his friend is stalking me but I like it ha-ha.”
“What the hell? That cutie that kicked Nick’s lil bitch ass was married. Damn K. Hol’ up! What the hell happened to you lip?! Did that son of a bitch hit you?”
“Nick broke into my place and we got into a fight. He ran off once I threatened to call the cops so I’m not worried about it. I kinda have to meet up with someone later and I don’t want to show up looking a mess. Help me out?”
“I’m gonna find that son of a bitch and cut his dick off! Ven.” Leslie stood and flicked her wrist signaling for me to follow her to her spare bedroom.
“Thanks girl.”
“Pick an outfit and don’t worry about bringing it back.” She pointed to a portable clothes rack that stood in the center of the room.
I felt like a very greedy kid in a candy store as my hands passed over the different labels and fabrics. Being the way that I am I settled for a pair of low rise jeans and a black tee. Of course Leslie had to throw some spice in it so she turned me around, took off the shirt, and slipped a corset over my head.
“Don’t worry. Once he sees those puppies in this, you won’t be wearing it long.” She said through her teeth as she drew the laces so tight I lost my breath for a moment.
“What if we’re just going to hang out? Isn’t this too much?” I looked in the mirror.
I looked like the brown Dolly Parton with my breasts sitting so high.
“Take this.” She handed me a blazer while browsing over her makeup brushes with the other hand.
“Hmmm, nice.” I spun around in front of her floor length mirror.
“Sit.” She pulled out the chair in front of her bedazzled vanity.
Looking at her as she worked on my face reminded me of a doctor performing surgery. Makeup and hair for her were like works of art. You could tell that she really took pride in what she did. I gasped when she stepped aside and I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I thought my blending skills were okay, but Leslie had me doubting every makeup look I’d ever tried. My eyes reminded me of a golden sunset somewhere with the perfect blend of browns, pink, and gold.
